We want you to apply!Job Summary and Qualifications

Accurately fill unit dose medication orders from labels generated by pharmacist

Prepare sterile products accurately under USP Guidelines. Restock medication and IV dispensing areas.

Make rounds to each nursing unit as per policy and as directed by pharmacist

Accurately identify and fill replacement medications on emergency crash carts/totes and floor stock.

Issue requisitioned drugs to other departments as per policy.

Participate in maintaining adequate inventory levels. Obtain medication based on PAR levels and in conjunction with formulary initiatives. Work with DOP or designee as needed in inventory management incentives.

Participate in maintaining department formulary initiatives. Communicate with appropriate medical, nursing and allied health professional staff members with regard to non-formulary decisions. Work with DOP or designees as needed in formulary clinical review process

Complete assigned nursing unit inspections per policy.

Accurately fill medication carts

Enter charges and credits into pharmacy computer system in a timely manner

Answer telephone and direct calls to appropriate personnel.

Accurately load and refill Pyxis

Other duties as assigned by DOP, ADOP, Clinical Manager, or charge pharmacist.

Licensed Pharmacy Technician, or Pharmacy Technician Permit
