Rehab nurses work with patients of all ages, and their families or caregivers, soon after the onset of a disabling injury or chronic illness. They restore patients' lives so they have freedom and independence again. They work with other healthcare team members including physiatrists, OTs, PTs, neuropsychiatrists, and speech therapists.

• 17 private rooms for comprehensiveinpatient rehabilitation

Responsibilities:

• The Registered Nurse is aprofessional nurse who assumes responsibility and accountability for the delivery and management of patient care. S/he utilizes the nursing process, the healthcare environment, and current technology to provide a climate which optimizes patient care and staff development.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
• Current Louisiana or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS
• Excellent oral/written communication, interpersonal, organizational and leadership skills required
