You’ll play a key part in extending the life of critical equipment used across industries.Inspect and evaluate returned parts to determine repair needsClean all components thoroughly according to departmental proceduresReassemble seals once all parts are repaired, replaced, or approved for assemblyPerform basic machining tasks using equipment like drill press, bead blaster, grinder, and lapping machineUse precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, optical flats) to verify part specificationsReview and confirm that bills of materials, drawings, and replacement parts align with repair requirementsWork with Engineering or Sales teams to resolve technical questions as neededMaintain accurate repair records and manage a small inventory of commonly used seal partsFollow work orders, prints, and verbal instructions to complete repairsSupport less-experienced team members when neededSet up and troubleshoot lapping machines as part of the repair processOccasionally contact customers regarding repair status or pricing; may assist with basic system checks or purchase orders if outside vendors are involved
