By clicking on the links, you can find out more on how we proudly support Global Diversity and Hiring Our Heroes .We are seeking a Site Manufacturing Manager for our Michoud Assembly Facility in New Orleans, LA.Summary of Key Duties for this position:This position will be responsible for overall Michoud Manufacturing meeting the integrated master schedules and coordination of manufacturing personnel across the Michoud enterprise to ensure adherence to key program milestones and deliverables. Areas of responsibility, accountability, and authority include overseeing manufacturing, integration and testing of Aerospace Hardware. This role is also responsible for the day to day direction of deployed Production Leads. Responsible for the retention, placement and tasking of the Composite and Mechanical Propulsion Supervision and Non-exempt labor force to support Production Leads/ Manufacturing Center/ LOB (Line of Business)/ programs and producibility needs of the center. This position will manage staffing requirements, planning job assignments and rotations, manage staff assessment and development, sustain producibility capabilities and preservation of critical skills. Must be able to determine when to effectively introduce producibility and product / process improvements, LM21 lean and 6-sigma implementation to improve the efficiency of the operation. Must demonstrate Full Spectrum Leadership Behaviors. Five to eight years of Leadership, Program/Project management experience in spacecraft or aerospace production line manufacturing techniques. Must have experience in Production flows/metrics and working with Non-exempt and Exempt salaried labor force concerns. Must have demonstrated Full Spectrum Leadership skills with a diverse workforce of exempt salary and touch labor. Must have demonstrated presentation, written, and verbal skills to effectively communicate with other managers, directors, and customers to maintain a viable working relationship. Must be familiar with a variety of manufacturing concepts, practices, and procedures. Ability to obtain Greenbelt certification within one year.Desired Skills: Composite Fabrication or Mechanical Assembly knowledge, CAM trained, Kaizens, LM21 experience, Mentoring, FOE/FOD.
