These positions are in a Career Progression Series and may be filled as either a Social Worker 3 or a Social Worker 4, depending on the applicant’s level of experience and licensure. These positions may be filled as either a Probational Appointment or a Job Appointment . For Probational Appointments, applicants may be asked to serve a probationary period that may be anywhere from 6 months to 24 months.We strongly recommend individuals who have substance abuse treatment experience or have passed the ADC, AADC, or EMAC exam at the time of appointment apply to this posting. The clinician completes comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments, treatment plans, screenings, treatment via individual/family/group therapy, as well as discharge plans for patients, and families as needed. The clinician works on an interdisciplinary treatment team in order to provide thorough and comprehensive care, as well as continuity of care, and will prepare and send progress reports to the appropriate social service agencies and referral sources as required. The clinician may also assist in the acquisition of appropriate resources as needed. The clinician may also collect routine urine drug samples for labs and rapid assessment if required.Additionally, the clinician attends annual and PRN trainings and webinars to improve competency in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health and substance use disorders.
