Sr. Accountant

Description We are working with a client in Shreveport to find a Senior Accountant. In this role, you will utilize your strong communication, technology, organizational, and analytical skills to perform a variety of accounting tasks. These tasks will primarily revolve around maintaining accurate financial records and supporting various accounting operations within our organization.Responsibilities: Reconciliation of sub-ledger to general ledger account balances Preparation of financial statements Support during month-end and year-end close Preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations Evaluation of internal controls, including risk assessments and reviews of risk areas Assistance with budget preparation and the monthly budget variance analyses Maintenance and reconciliation of fixed assets schedules Execution of initial internal control evaluations Application of Full Cycle Accounting and Public Accounting skills in daily tasksRequirements Candidate must possess at least 3 years of experience in a similar role. Proficiency in Full Cycle Accounting is required. Experience in Public Accounting is ideal. An advanced understanding of accounting principles and laws. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent numerical proficiency and problem-solving abilities. Proven experience with accounting software. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA certification is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
