AECOM has a position available for a Structural CAD Specialist III to support our growing EnergyPractice in the U.S. AECOM offers the freedom and flexibility to work remotely and/or be located at a variety of Energy offices located in multiple locations across the United States.Our team works on high and medium voltage projects for municipal, utility, commercial and industrial clients. This position will perform technical tasks on a variety of projects including substation retrofits and new builds, overhead and underground transmission, distributed generation, renewable energy and energy master planning. Qualified candidates will have a familiarity with the electrical design aspects for power utility and industrial clients.The successful candidate will have an understanding and experience in electrical Revit design and principles. She/he will be expected to work successfully within a team environment and be able to communicate effectively with other project team members. He/she will have a high level of initiative, motivation, and displays drive, energy and enthusiasm for getting things done with excellent attention to detail.The responsibilities of this role also include, but may not be limited to, the following:Works under limited supervision.Develops 3D Models of structural items utilizing Advance Steel and extracts views from the model with drawing styles. Performs both routine and non-routine, complex drafting assignments that require judgment in resolving issues or making recommendations. Uses applications to scale and edit assignments involving the use of computer aided design and drafting equipment and other graphics software (e.g. CADD software) to achieve set results and deadlines. Utilizes Navisworks to view discipline coordination models and Recap to work with laser scans.Digitize or trace sketches or concepts from designers using CADD software, such as AutoCAD or Advance Steel. Decisions made with general understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. Follows specific, standardized procedures to achieve set results and deadlines. Receives little instruction on daily work and general instructions on new assignments.DCS—Energy
