TRAINING MANAGER
MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE DEVELOPING AND IMPLEMENTING TRAINING PROGRAMS WITHIN A MANUFACTURING SETTING. Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Partners with SVP – Operations, Director of Human Resources, Plant Managers and Plant HR Managers to establish training strategies. Coordinates activities and develops implementation plans that support business plan objectives.
- Designs, plans and implements training programs to meet organizational needs.
- Reviews existing training programs; suggests enhancements and modifications to improve engagement, learning, and retention and/or to meet the changing needs of clientele, the organization, or the industry.
- Ensures that training materials and programs are current, accurate, and effective.
- Maintains knowledge of new methods and techniques for training, and training requirements applicable to the organization and/or industry.
- Provides consistent and appropriate vision and direction for training.
- Identifies problems and opportunities such as operational changes or industry developments that training could improve.
- Analyzes, monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of training to achieve business plan objectives. Provides appropriate and timely recommendations to improve business performance.
- Conducts or facilitates required and recommended training sessions.
- Collaborates with vendors and third-party training providers to arrange employee registration for and participation in outside training programs as needed.
- Prepares and implements training budget. Ensures that training milestones and goals are met while adhering to approved training budget.
- Manages Training Data base to ensure accuracy.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development or Training and Development.
- Experience developing and implementing corporate wide training initiatives.
- 2-5 years of experience as a Training Manager.
- Manufacturing experience preferred, but not required.
- Experience with Training Database platforms.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent facilitation skills.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
