Carpenter / Laborers
Location: Maine & New Hampshire (project-based)
Employment: Full-time, on-site
Reports to: Foreman / Lead Carpenter
About the Role
We’re seeking Carpenter / Laborers to work on-site building high-quality, energy-efficient custom homes and buildings. You’ll work alongside and report to, a seasoned and experienced Foreman/Lead Carpenter.
What You’ll Do
Carpentry (Framing-to-Finish)
Structural framing, sheathing and truss/rafter work.
High-performance envelope work: advanced air-sealing, WRB/flashings, window/door installs.
Exterior: decks, stairs, siding, trim, porches.
Interior: stairs, doors, case/base, built-ins, cabinetry installs, punch lists.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
Comply with OSHA safety standards; maintain a clean, organized, secure site.
Ensure work meets Maine & NH building codes and energy-efficiency standards.
What You Bring
Must-Haves
2 years of building experience.
Attention to detail and quality.
Positive attitude.
Ability to accept leadership and constructive criticism.
Knowledge of high-performance building practices. (tech school certificate)
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; ability to travel to work sites.
Own a reliable set of hand tools.
Nice-to-Haves
Able to read architectural/structural plans and specs.
Knowledge of (Structural Insulated Panels) SIPs, ICF block systems, ZIP System, Passive-House-adjacent details, or blower-door test readiness.
Physical & Work Conditions
Regular standing, bending, lifting 50–75 lbs., ladder/scaffold work, and all-weather site conditions.
Full workday on active construction sites; PPE required.
Salary & Benefits
Hours/Schedule: Monday - Friday (7am - 5pm)
Salary: Starting at $25 per hour.
Benefits: Paid vacation after the first year of employment.
