The starting rate for this position is: $35.81/hr Rate of pay displayed reflects the beginning of the pay scale. Position Summary: Under the general direction of the VP of Patient Care, the Clinical Nurse Educator will be responsible for assessing, planning, developing, implementing and evaluating educational programs for the Emergency Department and will work with the other Clinical Nurse Educators within the organization on other educational initiatives that pertain to all nursing departments across the acute care setting. The Clinical Nurse Educator provides education and learning opportunities within a supportive and collaborative environment that will assist personnel in gaining knowledge, skills and appropriate behaviors necessary to perform assigned duties safely and competently. Coordinates learning experiences that support quality services consistent with standards and practice guidelines of the facility and that comply with State and Federal standards. Provides ongoing education for nursing staff based on identified learning needs and maintains educational records. Will provide education through: coordination of clinical onboarding, mentoring of new hires and preceptors, review of regulatory compliance topics, review of new/changes in policies, competency fairs, in-services, etc. Preferred candidate will have strong, recent clinical experience in an acute care setting. Prior formal experience in education and training is preferred. Must be self-motivated and a skilled communicator. Must be able to organize and prioritize many tasks effectively and follow educational efforts through completion. Position Requirements:

State of Maine RN License

BSN required, MSN preferred

BLS and ACLS within 30 days of hire

IV Certification upon hire

Minimum 3 years RN experience
