We are currently hiring for Full time and Part Time CRMA/PSS/CNA to work in Belfast, Bucksport, Pittsfield, Ellsworth, Jonesport and Calais. We offer 12 hour day and evening shifts, with competitive pay. Please, email us if you are interested in joining our team.
Job Summary:
As a CRMA/PSS/CNA, you will assist the elderly, or persons with disabilities with daily living activities in a residential care facility. Also monitor and report changes in health status and provide personal care such as bathing, toileting, dressing and grooming of clients.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Cares for residents by changing bed linens, washing laundry, cleaning, bathing, assisting with personal care, toileting and overall getting around.
Provides clients with help moving into and out of beds, baths, wheelchairs, and with dressing and grooming
Performs housekeeping duties such as cooking, cleaning, washing clothes and dishes, and running errands.
Maintains records of residential care, conditions, progress, or problems to report and discusses observations with supervisor.
Prepares and serves meals to patients or other family members according to prescribed diets
Instructs or advises clients on issues such as cleanliness, hygiene, or nutrition
Ensures all aspects of safety and enforces safety rules and regulations
Fills out and completes residents incident reports as needed
Maintains confidentiality of all resident and employees information to assure that all rights are protected.
Report any incidents, accidents or suspected residential abuse to appropriate personnel.
Participate in all departmental meetings as required.
Other miscellaneous duties as needed or requested by supervisor.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Must possess a strong service orientation, including active listening, critical thinking skills, and close monitoring of clients.
Basic understanding of medical terminology.
Comfortable in an environment in which clients cannot perform basic life duties.
Understanding of basic concepts of personal care, housekeeping and other care areas.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
One year of related experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of standing, bending and lifting.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
