Dockhand

Come join our team for a great opportunity to work on South Portland Maine's waterfront!

Open/Close marina store.

Daily dock walks to report accountability for boats, slip availability and condition of docks and boats.

Assist customers with docking and departures to include handling & tying lines.

Customer service and assistance at the store counter and by phone.

Cash register transactions to include daily batch-out.

Fuel dock transactions.

Summer slip requests.

Light dock maintenance.

Light cleaning of marina bathrooms as necessary, in-between regular janitor cleanings.

Special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.

Assists other departments when necessary. Performs related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates.

Job Skill Requirements:

Must be 18 or over with a valid driver’s license.

Unlimited or unimpaired ability to walk, bend, climb, lift 25 lbs and work safely on a ladder or around water.

Ability to work independently, with an eye for detail. Must be trustworthy and dependable with a solid work ethic and organizational skills.

Experience with boats is a plus.
