IT Network/System Engineer, Fulltime, Onsite - South Portland, Maine Kelly Technology is looking for an IT Network/System Engineer to maintain and improve the operational effectiveness of the site. The successful candidate will report to the site IT Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose / Monitor / Administer site network related (network equipment, PBX, Wi-Fi, VPN) and system related (server, storage, virtualization).
  • Documentation / Maintain records of daily activities as well as special projects.
  • Assist Helpdesk person to provide standard user training for Wi-Fi/VPN/Phone applications.
  • Assist CIM/development team for network or system needs.
  • Must be proficient with Network and System Monitoring tools and the Microsoft Office Environment.
  • Other IT related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:
  • Cisco CCNA or greater and/or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
  • 5+ years relevant work experience.
  • Must have advanced experience with Cisco's EIGRP routing protocol, Cisco Catalyst & Nexus switches, Cisco FTD firewalls, VPNs, Meraki Wireless. Avaya PBX a plus.
  • Must be proficient with Network Monitoring tools and the Microsoft Office Environment Working knowledge of Anti-Spam, Anti-Virus, Active Directory, Cisco IOS, TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, VoIP and Microsoft Office products required.
  • High level experience with Avaya PBX, standard PC components including visual recognition of common PC Cards, drives and I/O ports, printer/copiers, cables, routers and switches.
  • Familiar with Solaris, HPUX, Linux, Windows operating system.
  • Familiar with NetApp, HP, IBM storage and Brocade Fibre Channel switches.
  • Familiar with VMWare, KVM, and Solaris Container virtualization.
  • Familiar with UNIX shell script, and Windows PowerShell script.

Desirable Skills:
  • Minimum; CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate). MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) preferred
  • Working knowledge of Exchange/Outlook, Avaya and Meraki a plus.
  • High level of experience with PC's/laptops, LANs/WANs/WLANS and phone systems, both hardware and software.
  • Good knowledge of Windows and UNIX system management including Solaris, HP, Linux
  • Planning and execution of System & Storage Projects.
  • Experienced with MS Visio/Excel/PowerPoint.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Able to communicate clearly, both verbally and written.
  • Excellent judgment, especially when to escalate issues for resolution.
