We are currently seeking a Carpenter to join our team at Guiding Builders. Our company builds in both commercial and residential spaces, and service the Portland and Southern Maine region.

- Ability to travel within Portland and Southern Maine region

Benfits:

- Pay rate is $20.00 - 25.00/hr based upon experience

Schedule:

Monday to Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm

Job Description:

We're seeking a talented, experienced carpenter to join our team of builders. Our ideal candidates will have a strong background in all aspects of carpentry, including framing, trim work, and custom woodworking.

As one of our carpenters, you'll be responsible for:

- Reading and interpreting floor plans

- Measuring and cutting materials to the right size and shape

- Installing and finishing cabinetry and millwork

- Building and installing stairs, railings, and other finishing work

- Working together with our team to ensure projects are completed on time and to the highest standard of quality

We're looking for someone who has:

- Experience in carpentry

- A deep understanding of different types of materials and their properties

- A strong attention to detail and commitment to producing flawless work

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills

- The ability to work independently and take initiative when necessary

- Reliable transportation

- Proficient in hand / power tools
