Marine Engineer
Job Category: EngineeringTime Type: Part timeMinimum Clearance Required to Start: SecretEmployee Type: RegularPercentage of Travel Required: Up to 10%Type of Travel: Continental USCACI has will have an opening for a part-time Electrical/Mechanical/Civil/Ocean Engineer to support engineering and planning efforts for Submarine Rescue and Mobility platforms at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard (PNS) in Kittery, Maine.What You'll Get to Do:- Develop, create and review Job Summaries and Task Group Instructions (TGIs)
- Assist with other Deficiency Form problems and preparing Sales Costs estimates
- Support of 688 Class and 774 Class Submarine engineering and Deep Submergence projects
- Electrical/Mechanical/Civil/Ocean engineering degree from an ABET Accredited College/University (other degree disciplines may be considered)
- 10 years' experience with submarine and/or deep submergence systems
- Knowledge of US Navy Shipyard applications including AIM
- Professional engineering experience performing complex engineering calculations such as heat transfer, fluid flow, piping stress, mechanical stress etc.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and experience with MS Office suite of products
- Demonstrated ability to manage work in a time-sensitive operational environment
- Well-developed interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret clearance
- Related submarine / submersible experience with design, maintenance, operations, repair and/or testing
- Electrical power background (NSTM 300)
- Familiarity with Military Specifications, ANSI and ASME standards
- Experience with configuration management and document control
- Ability to achieve excellence working individually or as part of a team
