Seeking people to guide railcycle excursions with the public over 3+ miles of protected track in Thorndike Village. These are 4-wheeled, 2-seater cycles, no balance required. The 90 minute round-trip is through woods and fields. You may pedal alone or with a friend, if space allows. You will orient people when they arrive with a short safety rundown, give them vests and be sure they have a supply of drinking water.
Guides must be over 18 and willing to work w/the public. Season is end of May through October.
Compensation is $16/hour; there may be up to 4 runs per day, depending on reservations. You are paid for pedaling time, not breaks between runs, but if you're proficient w/cycle repairs, you will be paid for those, as needed. If the run is not full and you want a friend to pedal with you, they will not be paid, but can pedal at no charge. See railcyclers.com for an idea of the scene.
