The Curl Boutique is Maine’s very first salon dedicated to curly hair. Since 2017, we’ve welcomed curls of every kind—from subtle waves to the tightest coils—into our salon. As a team-based salon, we believe in collaboration over competition. About the Role

We’re looking for a warm, detail-oriented Receptionist to be the face of our vibrant, client-focused salon. This is more than just a front desk job; you’ll be the orchestrator of a team that thrives on collaboration, growth, and making every client feel seen and celebrated.

As the first point of contact for every guest, you’ll help shape the experience that keeps our clients coming back. You’ll play a vital role in keeping our salon running smoothly while growing your own skills in a positive, team-centered space.

What You'll Do

Greet clients with a warm, professional welcome and create an inviting atmosphere from the moment they walk in

Manage appointment bookings, reschedules, and confirmations using our salon software, Phorest

Handle phone, text, and voicemail communications with accuracy and efficiency

Process payments for services and retail through Square

Support the entire salon team proactively—jumping in to help, problem-solve, and uplift the team culture

Participate in team meetings, retreats, and events that build connection and fuel professional growth

What You'll Get

Compensation: Starting at $18/hr. (negotiable based on experience), plus monthly performance bonuses

Location

We’re located in Saco, Maine, just one block from a charming downtown filled with great shops and restaurants. Our salon is walkable to the train station (part of Portland’s public transportation system), grocery stores, nail salons, Reny’s (a Maine adventure!) and more. We’re also just four miles from the beach and right next door to the vibrant, ever-growing downtown Biddeford—one of Maine’s most exciting up-and-coming areas.

The Saco-Biddeford area also offers a wide range of housing options, making it a convenient and welcoming place to live and work.
