Job Title: Sr. Business SMELocation: Augusta – Hybrid Preference will be given to candidates with any or all the following experience:- Mapping and analysis with GIS software
- Understanding of geospatial analyses, data needs, and issues
- Management of large mapping/geospatial projects or programs, especially involving orthoimagery, lidar, and/or parcel mapping, and mapping projects in Maine
- Sales or marketing, especially of geospatial data or services
- Regional planning, municipal planning, watershed planning, or similar experience
- Serving as Executive Director or similar staff person to a Board of Directors
- Working with the Maine GeoLibrary Board
- Working with the Maine State Legislature and/or the legislative process
The core competencies associated with this position include interpersonal skills, knowledge of the applications and uses of geospatial data, ability to effectively communicate positions to others, and the responsibility and initiative to operate independentlySkill 1: Strong Interpersonal skillsSkill 2: Management of large GIS data acquisition projectsSkill 3: Sales / Marketing of geospatial data or services
