Veterinary Assistant

Seeking veterinary assistant for ambulatory (purely on the road) large animal practice. Looking for someone to work 3-4 days per week, depending on season. Duties include (but are not limited to) handling large animals (mostly horses), setting-up and cleaning-up for procedures, handling bloodwork, driving, some paperwork, and maintaining inventory. The candidate should be self-motivated, responsible, professional, dedicated, patient, have a good sense of humor, and must truly love animals! Prior veterinary experience is not necessary, but experience with horses is! The days can be long, but we have a good time while on the road, get to see beautiful parts of our state, maintain a life-work balance by working 3-4 days/week, and we have a wonderful clientele who appreciate our work very much!
