Description We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Baltimore, Maryland. In this role, you will ensure the accuracy and timeliness of invoice and payment reporting. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity in the professional services industry. Responsibilities: Accurate entry of invoices in the designated accounting software. Ensuring that invoices are coded correctly in line with the financial reporting structure. Obtaining approvals for all invoice transactions. Assisting in the completion of payment runs, including checks, wires, and ACH. Handling daily transactions in multiple currencies. Conducting ad hoc reporting and research involving invoices and payments. Responding to inquiries from both internal stakeholders and external suppliers. Recording intercompany transactions among various subsidiary entities accurately. Assisting in timely month-end close processing.Requirements Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services Experience with Concur and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning Understanding of Accounting Functions and Accounts Payable (AP) Knowledge of Accrual Accounting, Auditing, and Automated Clearing House (ACH) Proficiency in Deltek, Deltek Costpoint, and Deltek Vision Experience with Cash Applications, General Ledger, General Accounting, and General Journal Ability to perform Journal Entry and Journal Entry Preparation Experience with Aging Accounts, Payable Invoices, Code Invoices, and Approved Invoices Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Excel Formulas Experience with Account Adjustments and Reconciliation Ability to perform Daily and Monthly Account Reconciliation Experience with Unapplied Cash and Vendor Invoice Entry Ability to Code Invoices and manage Payable Invoices Knowledge of Costpoint - Deltek Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is preferred.
