Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are in search of an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team situated in COCKEYSVILLE, Maryland. This role is within the Healthcare, Hospitals, and Social Assistance industry and offers a long term contract employment opportunity. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be crucial in maintaining financial records, resolving discrepancies, and providing vendor support.Responsibilities: Accurately processing and coding invoices Conducting bank and account reconciliations Assisting in the preparation of journal entries Reconciliation of AP to the general ledger Preparation of weekly check runs Providing vendor support and customer service to resolve discrepancies Processing expense reports Using Concur, Microsoft Excel, and Automated Clearing House (ACH) for various tasks Assisting with year-end auditing activities 3 Way Matching and Coding Invoices Month-end Journal Entries Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience in the Accounts Payable field Proficiency in using Concur software for expense management Solid understanding and experience with Accounts Payable (AP) processes Demonstrable skills in auditing, ensuring compliance and accuracy in financial transactions Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions Competency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, vlookups, and other advanced functions Experience in 3 Way Matching - matching invoices, purchase orders, and receiving reports Proficiency in Coding Invoices for proper categorization and record-keeping Experience in preparing Month-end Journal Entries in accordance with accounting standards Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations, identifying and resolving any discrepancies Knowledge of the healthcare, hospitals, and social assistance industry is a plus Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
