Successful candidates must provide proof of having received the initial two COVID-19 vaccine shots and two booster shots as part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.Under the general supervision of the IT Support Services Manager, the Help Desk 3 plays a critical role in maintaining computer system hardware components, related ancillary devices, and software applications. This position involves complex problem-solving, technical assistance, system support, and troubleshooting, with a focus on ensuring the efficient functioning of our IT infrastructure. As the highest-ranked technician in the team, you will also have the opportunity to assist and lead other technology staff, ensuring that our IT operations run smoothly.Responsibilities:

Perform complex problem-solving and assistance on diverse software applications and hardware systems for staff.

Provide diverse technical assistance, document findings, and perform routine maintenance duties.

Conduct advanced technological systems support, maintenance, and testing to ensure proper upkeep of systems.

Troubleshoot and resolve complex system hardware, software, and network failures and conflicts, including Office 365 applications, Windows operating systems, and SharePoint.

Participate in and/or lead the review, evaluation, and recommendation of solutions related to hardware and software acquisitions and network updates.

Engage in and/or lead research and development initiatives and assist in the implementation of new technologies.

Deliver in-depth individual and/or group instruction and training to faculty, staff, and/or students on new or updated technologies.

May supervise or provide functional direction to lower-graded staff and/or student employees performing similar work.

Analyze and document current systems and procedures, develop, document, and implement strategies, standards, and procedures.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field OR equivalent work experience and/or certifications.

Proven experience as a Help Desk 3 or in a similar IT role.

Proficient knowledge of Windows operating systems and Office 365 administration.

Ability to analyze, configure, install, and maintain highly technical and complex software applications.

Proficient in documenting work systems and procedures using various documentation techniques, including flowcharts.

Knowledge in any of the following areas is a plus: SharePoint administration, Windows PowerShell, One Login, KnowB4, Azure AD.
