This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about and connect with AECOM for early career opportunities.AECOM's water business line is seeking a creative, motivated, and highly skilled Entry Level GIS Specialist to join our team in Baltimore, Maryland The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise and problem-solving skills to support our engineering, modeling, and inspection teams. You’ll work alongside experienced technology solution experts to develop innovative solutions that apply emerging technologies to advance water utility services.This position is expected to begin in Spring/Summer 2026.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:Create and maintain accurate geospatial datasets, maps, and reports using ArcGIS Online and other GIS tools.Conduct spatial and statistical analyses to support transportation planning, design, and maintenance projects.Read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure data accuracy.Develop solutions using Python, R and SQL.Build analytics tools to deliver insights, improve efficiency, and track performance metrics.Develop custom GIS applications, scripts, and tools to enhance data quality, accessibility, and efficiency.Manage applications, geospatial data, and metadata on ArcGIS Online and related platforms in accordance with standards and policies.Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to address technical issues and support data infrastructure needs.Support the migration of Water Geometric Networks to the Esri Utility Network.Ensure quality assurance of spatial and non-spatial data and processes.Stay current with emerging GIS software and technologies.Contribute effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment.
