Job Title: Animal Care TechnicianJob DescriptionAs an Animal Care Technician, you will be responsible for placing processed bedding, feed, and other related items into assembled, sanitized cages. You will maintain detailed records of maintenance schedules, detergent and disinfectant use, and performance tests for the cage washer and autoclave. Additionally, you will perform daily animal health observations and husbandry duties to ensure the quality and health of research animals.Responsibilities

Maintain detailed records of maintenance schedules, detergent and disinfectant use, and performance tests for the cage washer and autoclave.
Perform daily animal health observations.
Conduct daily water bottle/automatic water line and cage checks.
Provide appropriate food and water to research animals.
Perform cage changing and/or cage cleaning as required per standard operating procedures (SOP) and specified protocols.

Work EnvironmentThe position is based in an animal research lab focused on oncology. The work requires standing, walking, or moving about campus on a continuous basis and the ability to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position objects and materials weighing up to 50 lbs. Additionally, you must be able to ascend and descend stairs on a regular basis. This role will provide you with extensive experience in high-volume animal care within a leading research environment.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.00Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
