Candidates will be required to be on-site in Baltimore, MD for 2-4 weeks for onboarding. This is currently a REMOTE position, but could become on-site/hybrid at some point. Candidates must be authorized to work in the US for any employer. Description of Work: Testing/debugging REST APIs implemented using Java and Spring Boot. Designing and developing automated unit, integration and behavioral tests via TDD. Leveraging testing libraries and frameworks such as JUnit, Spring Test, Mockito, Cucumber and Selenium. Integrating automated tests into a DevOps pipeline using Jenkins and Maven as part of the SDLC. Developing and implementing automated tests profiles. Analyzing logs using tools like Splunk and Nagios. Using the JIRA and Confluence to manage requirements, user stories, defects/bugs and testing artifacts. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related technical discipline and 7 years of experience or Master's and 5 years of experience or 11 years of related experience in lieu of degree. Minimum of 2 years of experience: o Testing/debugging REST APIs implemented using Java and Spring Boot o Designing and developing automated unit, integration and behavioral tests via TDD o Leveraging testing libraries and frameworks such as JUnit, Spring Test, Mockito, Cucumber, Selenium or any other equivalent o Integrating automated tests into a DevOps pipeline using Jenkins and Maven as part of the SDLC Minimum of 1 year of experience: o Developing and implementing automated tests profiles that execute across multiple environments using the Spring framework o Analyzing logs using tools like Splunk, Nagios or any other equivalent o Using the JIRA and Confluence to manage requirements, user stories, defects/bugs and testing artifacts Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Public Trust clearance Preferred Qualifications: Ability to absorb and apply new technical knowledge rapidly as it relates to JWT, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SSL Extended Validation certificates, and other standards Ability to advocate for comprehensive testing strategies and staying up to date on the latest testing methods and tools Basic knowledge of containerized applications Basic knowledge of code scanning tools such as SonarQube (static code analysis) and Sonatype Nexus (vulnerability scanning) Basic knowledge of SSL/TLS, x.509 certificates and related web standards Superior communication skills, both written and oral Strong understanding of how to isolate a SUT using mocks, stubs and shims for applications that leverage IoC Prior Federal government experience.
