Eliassen Group is assisting a high profile client with finding a Backend Typescript Engineer that will assist in the development of a new PaaS hosted in AWS. You will build out new platform features and APIs that will expand the ways internal Software Engineers can interact with the platform. This is a fully remote position where you'll need to make yourself available for meetings occurring on EST time.
Due to our client's security requirement to obtain a Public Trust clearance, applicants must be a US Citizen or a Permanent Resident. You will be supporting a prominent government agency that conducts research to better understand, treat and ultimately prevent infectious diseases such as COVID-19. Responsibilities of the Backend TypeScript Engineer: - Develop server-side application code for various Typescript micro-services.
- Configure, optimize, deploy various back-end technologies (database, AWS Lambda, etc.).
- Monitor and in the event of failure, diagnose and restore web application services.
Requirements of the Backend TypeScript Engineer: - BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years' experience developing Web applications.
- Knowledge of Web standards and protocols including HTTP and REST.
- Server-side languages such as Typescript/JavaScript/Node.js.
- A test-driven development mentality.
