Job Title: Certified Medical AssistantJob DescriptionWe are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant with a comprehensive understanding of medical terminology and a passion for patient care. The successful candidate will be responsible for communicating effectively with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals. Duties will include obtaining medical history, measuring vital signs, performing venipuncture, administering injections, and recording all information in the EMR system. The role also requires strong computer skills and knowledge of Electronic Medical Records functionality. You will maintain a clean and organized work environment, following infection control protocols. Additionally, you will perform basic clerical duties, including answering the phone, checking in patients, verifying insurances, obtaining prior authorizations, and managing end-of-the-day financial tasks. Basic clinic duties such as stocking supplies, disinfecting exam rooms, and work areas are also part of the role.Hard Skills

Comprehensive understanding of medical terminology

Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians & other healthcare professionals

Experience with obtaining medical history, measuring vital signs, performing venipuncture, administering injections

Strong computer skills

Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records functionality

Experience with basic clerical duties

Active BLS

MA certification required (NHA required)

Must have experience with Pediatrics (required)

Work EnvironmentThe successful candidate will work in a Pediatrics office, seeing between 30-35 patients per day. Work hours are 8-5 on Monday and Tuesday, and 8-12 on other days.
