Description:
Reporting to the Director of Acute Care, the Clinical Nurse must demonstrate the passion to provide bedside care to a diverse and acutely ill population of patients. The Clinical Nurse should possess the knowledge and skill of how-to safety apply the nursing process to assess, plan and evaluate the care of patients with various health conditions.
Responsibilities:
As part of a new transformational team care model to improve patient care and provide nurses and nurse assistants new opportunities and support, the clinical nurse will team with an experienced virtual RN (vRN) and a certified nursing assistant to provide excellent patient care to patients in an acute care setting.
Collaborative planning, coordinating, and delivering quality care to medical and telemetry patients that are acutely ill; focusing on care of the stroke/neuro patient.
Facilitate best practices to deliver quality care through the identification, implementation and evaluation of nursing interventions and communication of results to the healthcare team.
Provides education to patients and their families for all medical diagnoses (respiratory, cardiac, GI, rental, neuro, endocrine).
What you will needRequired:
Graduation from an accredited nursing program; basic professional nursing degree required (BSN preferred). Note, if the BSN or MSN degree is not present on hire, the employee must sign an agreement to obtain a within a specific time frame.
Current licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing or Compact State as a Registered Nurse.
BLS certification (issued through the American Heart Association)
Superb interpersonal, communication and collaboration abilities.
Competency in electronic patient management systems.
Preferred:
BSN or MSN preferred
Certified MS-RN in nursing recommended.
At least 1 year of nursing experience in an acute care setting
