We are looking for a candidate who can join our team and provide automation of AWS environment via CloudFormation, Ansible and Python (Boto3). This role heavily relies on automation.
Job Responsibilities:- Write Cloud Formation templates to deploy stacks in different AWS environments (INT/QA/PROD).
- Write Lambda Functions in Python (Boto3) for the automation of AWS infrastructure.
- Participate in planning, implementation, and growth of the infrastructure on AWS.
- Design and develop micro services architecture for in-house legacy applications so they can be migrated to the cloud.
- Troubleshoot issues in the cloud.
- Setup of POC of new services offered by AWS for potential solution viability.
- Write Ansible and Bash scripts for automation in the Linux and cloud environment.
- Requires Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or other related discipline. Additional relevant experience can be substituted for a degree.
- Minimum of 7 years of IT experience of which at least 5 years must be in AWS cloud automation and administration.
- Previous Linux system administration is desired.
- Must understand basic AWS infrastructure concepts including but not limited to VPC, Subnets, NACLs, Security Groups, EC2, S3, IAM, ELBs, Lambdas, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, EKS etc.
- Hands on experience in automation is a must – no pointing and clicking in the browser is allowed.
- Must be well versed in writing CloudFormation templates. Examples of your code would be helpful.
- Must have hands on experience in writing Lambda functions preferably in Python (Boto3). You are encouraged to provide your sample code (one or two examples) with your resume.
- Must be well versed in writing Linux Bash scripts.
- Hands-on experience with Ansible is required.
- Experience with AWS CLI is desired.
- Hands-on experience with containers. Amazon EKS or RedHat Openshift is a big plus.
- Willingness to roll up the sleeves and troubleshoot difficult customer issues.
- AWS certifications are highly desired.
- Willingness to learn new AWS services and other technologies as required.
