Computer Systems Analyst, Journeyman (NSWC-22-0152): Bowhead seeks a Computer Systems Analyst, Journeyman in support of the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Digital Networks & Applications (DNA) Department located at the Naval Air Warfare Center in Patuxent River, MD. The Computer Systems Analyst, analyzes science, engineering, business, and other data processing problems to develop and implement solutions to complex applications problems, system administration issues, or network concerns. Performs systems management and integration functions, improve existing computer systems, and review computer system capabilities, workflow, and schedule limitations. May analyze or recommend commercially available software. Responsibilities Include: • Conduct technical research on system upgrades to determine feasibility, cost, time required, and compatibility with system • Prepare reports, studies, and documentation • Deliver presentations and participates in meetings • Work on special problem areas; administer complex areas of the network, security analysis and planning • Research emerging technologies and devise ways of adding functionality to existing computer systems • Oversee installation and configuration of new systems to customize them for the organization • Support customer tag-ups, working groups and various milestone events • Conduct fact finding and analysis to determine user problems and solve them by modifying the existing system when the solutions follow clear precedents • Assist higher level systems analysts by preparing detailed specifications required by computer programmers • Perform systems management and integration functions, improve existing computer systems, and review computer systems capabilities, workflow, and schedule limitations • Analyze science, engineering, business, and other data processing problems to develop and implement solutions to complex applications problems, system administration issues, or network concerns Requirements In accordance with Executive Order 14042: Ensuring Adequate COVID Safety Protocols for Federal Contractors, candidates should be aware that they may be required to have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by date of hire. • A Journeyman has three (3) to ten (10) years of experience performing work related to the labor category functional description and a BA/BS degree. • A Journeyman level person typically performs all functional duties independently. • An Associate's Degree plus 4 years' of additional experience performing work related to the labor category functional description may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree. • Six (6) years' of additional experience performing work related to the labor category functional description may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
