THIS POSITION IS HYBRID We are seeking a qualified Senior Computer Systems Engineer to perform systems engineering tasks including but not limited to System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) support activities for the purpose of maintaining Windows endpoints and servers, application distribution and management, and related activities. Please be advised that we would like to retain the right to hire at the conclusion of this six month assignment Under the direction of the Office of Information Technology, manage and architect ongoing endpoint and SCCM engineering, as well as application packaging, scripting and patch management.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Support and design Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager infrastructure including servers, distribution points, OS images, task sequences, and applications.
  • Architects and creates advanced application packages using Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
  • Acts as SME to junior endpoint engineers
  • Acts in tandem with server engineering team sharing knowledge and standardizing systems.
  • Shares limited on-call responsibilities with server team
  • Technical resource to support Windows Group Policy, DISA STIG, and PolicyPak software management of Windows endpoints
  • Configures and supports desktop patching and Windows 10 Feature Updates for over 6,000 PCs
  • Provides guidance and assists other engineers with SCCM fleet management to patching and configuration management of over 1000 Windows servers in a private cloud.
  • Maintain endpoint security utilizing Group Policy with STIGs, endpoint protection software, and industry best practices.
  • Administer VPN systems, certificates, and Endpoint Virtual Machines.

Requirements

You must have at least 3- 5 years’ experience in the following Microsoft products and functions:
  • Current branch, Microsoft Systems Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) Windows Server (20122019)
  • Microsoft MDT Microsoft WUS
  • Windows 10 image creation and deployment PowerShell scripting
  • Windows Group Policy PKI/Certificates

Preferred
  • Five years’ experience in systems engineering or a closely related field. Experience designing Windows feature deployments in enterprise
  • Experience with endpoint management with Windows Group Policy Objects Experience with PolicyPak group policy extension software
  • Experience implementing and customizing baseline security models (DISA STIG preferred)
