Overview
Configuration Management SpecialistBowhead is seeking a Configuration Management Specialist to support the PEOC3T contract located at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. The Configuration Management Specialist will work with TMD and RMD groups, as well as PMs to integrate capabilities into ServiceNow.ResponsibilitiesThe Configuration Management Specialist manages HW/SW data models to ensure cohesive approach across PEO C3T. Other duties to include:- Monitor and assist with PMs uploading HW/SW configuration management
- Monitor and track asset management for fielding/fielded systems
- Assist with SW license requirements capture for annual procurement, develop workflows, perform basic administration in ServiceNow
- Help or develop custom dashboards/interfaces in Fielding and Configuration Tool (FACT)
- Provide configuration management engineering expertise in multiple CS component area to include:
- Tactical Network On-the-Move (OTM) and At-the-Halt (ATH) transmission systems (HNR / NCW)
- BFT Systems (JCR/JBC-P)
- Nett Warrior (NW) and NW Mission Planning
- Tactical Radio Systems (SRW and MNVR radios)
- Tactical Radio planning/configuration tools
- Mission Command Systems (CPCE, MCIS,AFATDS, CPOF)
- CS NGCV/Stryker/HMMWV ancillary systems o Similar C5ISR Systems
- Aid in the development of Configuration management database
- Aid in the development data structures to support long term goals
- Administer ServiceNow instance or equivalent experience
- HW and SW configuration management
- Develop business process workflows
- Track internal database licenses
- Develop roadmap of functionality over time
- Participate in and track actions from Configuration Control Boards
- BA/BS from an accredited college or university preferred Engineering or Computer Science
- 6 years of experience as a configuration management specialist within the DOD environment
- Will consider additional experience in lieu of education
- Knowledge and understanding of configuration and integration of CS systems that are currently being fielded to the Army (OTM/ATH networks, tactical radio systems, JCR/JBC-P, CPCE, etc.)
- Knowledge and understanding current/future Force tactical and strategic military communications networks, as well as the architecture, protocols, security, network management and physics underlying these systems
- The ability to conduct technical coordination between PEO, PMs and units
- The ability to conduct and coordinate sustainment/refresher trainin
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
- Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
