AECOM is currently seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor. This position is expected to begin as soon as available in our Transportation Aviation Business Line. This includes projects located throughout the Mid-Atlantic including Maryland, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina and on occasion, other surrounding states in the Eastern region.The position involves construction inspection and management of airport projects dealing with airfield safety, standards, improvement, and expansion programs. Construction work includes construction administration and management including shop drawing review, responding to contractor questions, and construction inspection.  Additional work includes environmental permitting, review of construction plans, specifications, schedules, design reports, and cost estimates to support the design team, including constructability reviews. The Aviation Engineering Group interacts with and is supported by many other in-house disciplines including Planners, Architects, Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, Civil, Environmental, Geotechnical and Special Systems Engineers in typical projects supporting our airport clients.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:Performs construction administration and construction inspectionServe as independent lead RPR/RE on the construction phase of airport projects within the region led by our Hunt Valley, Maryland officeFacilitate the construction management of the project through coordination with the Project Manager, Design Team, Contractor, and OwnerInformal task supervision and mentorship of other Junior Engineers/Inspectors at the direction of the Project ManagerTracks quantities and work progress utilizing field measurements and Civil 3DTravel to airport project sites (expected 90%+ field work)Conducts constructability reviews for airport projects to support design teaProvides guidance to employees within the latitude of established policiesMay establishes procedures that affect immediate organizationWorks on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including understanding of current business trendsSupervises subordinates to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems.May have budget responsibilities. Erroneous decision or failure to achieve results adds to costs and may impact short-term goals of organizationSupervises the administration of projects during the construction cycle including technical, financial, and client satisfaction
