In this role, the Contracts Manager will lead a team of professionals responsible for contract activities including proposals, negotiating and administering contract awards, ensuring compliance with contract and regulatory requirements and company policies. As a member of the Contracts, Acquisition Management Operations (CAMO) team, this position will be expected to serve as leader and subject matter expert supporting a large program and as well as proposal and contract activities.HOW A CONTRACTS MANAGER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:- Lead the contracts support activities for the development and proposals for IDIQ Task Orders
- Lead pre-award negotiations and contract award, administration and close-out activities
- Ensure compliance with contract requirements, regulatory requirements (including FAR, DFARS, etc), customer reporting requirements and company policies
- Develop and maintain constructive relationships internal and external customers
- Conduct periodic contract portfolio reviews with senior leadership
- Lead, coach and develop team of direct reports
- Education/Experience: Bachelors degree with 5+ years of related experience in contracting/subcontract environment. In lieu of degree 9+ years of related experience in contracting/subcontract environment required.
- Required Skills and Abilties: Knowledge of contracting laws (FAR, DFARS), policies, and industry practices sufficient to provide guidance to the team. Analytical skill sufficient to evaluate proposals, technical documents, reports and other relevant material as a basis for developing and implementing sound business deals. Strong oral and written communication skills sufficient to clearly present the issue and recommendation to higher authority Strategic thinker and trusted advisor to program team and company leadership. Fosters and maintains internal customer intimacy. Ability to mentor, develop, and lead training for others.
- Preferred Skills: Professional certification (e. g., CPCM/CFCM)
- Clearance: Must have an active TS/SCI. Must be willing to obtain/maintain a TS/SCI with Poly.
