Description We are seeking a Controller based in Frederick, Maryland. The Controller will be instrumental in maintaining and controlling the company's financial processes and systems in the construction industry. This role involves managing and overseeing all aspects of our company's financial systems including accounting software systems, accounts payable and receivable, and general ledger.Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger. Maintain and improve upon accounting software systems to ensure the accuracy and consistency of data. Manage the preparation and publication of periodic financial statements. Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reports and statements. Monitor and analyze accounting data to produce financial reports. Coordinate and complete annual audits. Collaborate with financial staff to ensure smooth day-to-day transactions. Utilize QuickBooks for various accounting tasks and reporting. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements.
