ResponsibilitiesOur consultants on the Advanced Analytics & Intelligent Automation team help clients maximize the value of their data and automate business processes. This high performing team works with clients to implement the full spectrum of data analytics and data science, from data querying and data wrangling, to data visualization and dashboarding, to predictive analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence as well as robotic process automation (RPA). Our services enable our clients to define their information strategy, enable mission critical insights and data-driven decision making, reduce cost and complexity, increase trust, and improve operational effectiveness. Our consultants focus on client services, while also supporting business development, internal firm initiatives, and ongoing professional development.Job Description/Responsibilities:• Data engineer / database administrator / data science platform administrator.• Develop both single-use and enduring tools for platform agnostic data operations. • All aspects of systems and data integration to meet the needs of data science teams.QualificationsRequired:• B.S./B.A. in Computer Science, Information Systems, or relevant computational and quantitative discipline.• 3+ years of relevant experience. • Design data architecture and perform data engineering to facilitate data structures, data transfer, and data staging and construct ETL pipelines with tools such as Informatica.• Ability to use command line/Unix to access necessary servers and file systems.• Experience with database administration, including managing table space and database maintenance using tools such as the IBM Integrated Analytics System (Sailfish) and DB2 warehouse.• Proficiency in SQL.• Experience utilizing Spark for processing big data.• Experience with security vulnerability tracking/resolution and software patching to mitigate security vulnerabilities.• Oversee Python and R and database updates.• Experience with Dockerized or other container deployments.• Server management to balance application workload on servers by responding to system monitoring.• Strong communication skills for technical and nontechnical audiences.• Ability to handle concurrent responsibilities and work streams.Preferred:• M.S./M.A. in Computer Science, Information Systems, or relevant computational and quantitative discipline.• 10+ years of relevant experience.• Experience with R and CRAN libraries.• Experience with Zeppelin.• Ability to work within a tailored Agile methodology. • Familiarity with concepts of computational complexity and ability to assess job size given resource constraints.• Ability to lead small teams, coaching and collaborating with colleagues.• Ability to identify and address client needs, build relationships, and push initiatives forward.• Effectively communicate and teach data concepts to team members, internal and external operations and engineering teams, and non-technical stakeholders.• Business development experience including RFP/RFQ responses, developing white papers/concept papers, and building and demonstrating prototype solutions to customers.• Knowledge of national security or defense sectors.
