JOB DESCRIPTIONClient is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support the delivery of a large commercial energy efficiency program. The IT DevOps Engineer will be responsible for maximizing developer productivity through fine-tuned scalable infrastructure and robust systems monitoring. The role will also support the IT and program teams with infrastructure and tools for automatically building, deploying and running applications. Will ensure our product and infrastructure is secure and up to date with the latest security measures.

Primary job activities include: • Manage development environments through testing, staging, and production stages• Handle a diverse range of coding tasks and tickets to keep the ship sailing• Roll out deployments• Own functional testing and create dev testing systems• Maintain and update system documentation• Engage in pair development programming• Support the product engineering team to choose, deploy, and manage the necessary software development tools• Define and build the different development, testing, and production environments• Build a reliable CI/CD pipeline and automate the build and deployment process• Build the necessary monitors, alerts, and self-healing capabilities for build and deployment process• Participate in process improvement and setting engineering best practices with the team• AWS - Build, evolve and manage AWS infrastructure and services that runs our SaaS product• Security - Ensure our SaaS product and infrastructure is secure and up to date with the latest security measures• Platform reliability and production support - Lead and manage the incident management and escalation process to provide 24/7 support of our SaaS application• Drive branching best practices to safely deliver code to production at a high velocity• Collaborate with development team to isolate application and deployment concerns• Participate in incident response events, helping to perform root cause analysis and implementing mitigation action items

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (includes Education and Experience)• BS / MS in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent job-related experience.• At least 4 years of DevOps experience in a senior role• At least 4 years of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) experience with Jenkins, Jenkins Pipeline, Git, Bitbucket• Experience working on a N-tier environment, you've contributed in an impactful way to an MS technology stack and commercial software along with open-source projects, and you understand how to test all of this• You have built out a production-level API before, you are well-versed in API best practices and web standards, and you are passionate about a well-designed API with good documentation• You have developed CI/CD systems before, and are a scripting leader• You understand cloud web infrastructure with 5 to 7 years of experience in supporting • 3 years of experience working with the following Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud services: EC2, EMR, ECS, S3, SNS, SQS, Cloud Formation, Cloud Watch, Lambda• Experience of addressing compliance and governance in a regulatory environment• Experience documenting system architecture and configurations and keeping that current using MS Visio or other software tools• Documentation of DevOps solutions and operational procedures• Experience with planning and execution of production releases
