The lab technician works directly with engineering staff and other team members and will serve as the manager of an electronics laboratory on site at the Army Research Laboratory. The lab technical will maintain and manage all laboratory equipment, ensure routine equipment calibration, and provide oversight of all aspects of safe laboratory operations, to ensure compliance with established laboratory procedures.Come support our work with the U.S. Army Research Laboratory and join a world class team of groundbreaking scientists and engineers!For a short video about Mission Technologies, click here: ;br>Key Responsibilities:- Maintain and organize laboratory equipment, devices, and systems.
- Troubleshoot, calibrates, adjusts electronic measurement systems.
- Perform periodic system checks.
- Performs calibration and alignment checks.
- Works from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.
- Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas.
- Associates Degree or other 2-year technical degree in related discipline and 6 years related experience; OR High School Diploma or equivalent and 8 years related experience.
- Proficient in the use of word processing, spreadsheets, and electronic mail programs.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supply systems.
- Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, and related electronic analysis tools.
- Data sheets and equipment procurement based on technical specifications.
- May require lifting no more than 25 pounds higher than three feet above feet/floor level.
