Savvee Consulting is seeking to hire an

Enterprise Architect to provide program and data analysis support for our National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) National Weather Service (NWS) client, located in

Silver Spring, MD. Candidates must be very experienced with IT Governance and extremely comfortable liaising with senior-level officials and various teams to ensure mission success.

Essential Functions
  • Leading the assessment of the current-state and future-state reference architecture that supports NWS IT strategies and priorities
  • Leading the development of NWS enterprise architecture governance in order to establish standards for processes, data, systems, security, and information technologies
  • Conducting gap analysis and developing a strategic roadmap to achieve the future-state, including both short-term and long-term plans
  • Supporting the government in the development of an enterprise-level architectural framework and establishing a model to implement delivery of enterprise-level information technology services and products utilizing a Shared Service approach
  • Aiding the Assistant Chief Information Officer (ACIO) with drafting, updating, and maintaining multi-year strategic plans
  • Assessing current organizational strategies and coordinating with executive leadership to ensure NWS mission and strategic goals alignment to higher-level strategies
  • Leading the development of performance measures related to IT strategy
  • Leading the project management of all enterprise architecture support
  • Serving as a trusted advisor to the NWS Chief Information Officer (CIO) in the execution of the agency’s transformation of IT governance & architecture to improve the delivery of information of the mission
  • Supporting the development of a strategy and plan the defines how IT architecture can be leveraged to meet leadership priorities in support of the agency’s mission
  • Leading the creation of blueprints, recommendations, and actionable roadmaps for the future of the NWS IT architecture
  • Understanding the organizational policies and procedures for accuracy of solutions and deliverables to the client
  • Demonstrating a commitment to quality and customer support

REQUIREMENTS

Education & Training
  • Bachelor’s Degree

Minimum Experience & Skills
  • Five or more years of IT architectural and implementation experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail

Desired Experience/Certification & Skills
  • Familiarity with Smartsheets
  • Familiarity with the Google Suite of products
  • The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF), Cloud Service Provider (CSP), Project Management Professional (PMP) certifications
