Environmental Scientist II - Wetlands + Waterways

AECOM is seeking an Environmental Scientist II to join our team in Hunt Valley, Maryland. Seeking an early to mid-career ecologist with skills in wetland and waterway assessment and permitting, ecological assessments, forest evaluations and agency coordination.  Must be willing to travel throughout the Mid-Atlantic region with some overnight stays possible.  This position is expected to begin in June 2025.The responsibilities of this role include, but may not be limited to, the following:Natural resource assessments, planning, regulatory compliance and permitting on projects in Maryland and across the Mid-Atlantic Area.Specific tasks may include field investigations, preparing assessment reports, and coordinating in the field with resource and regulatory agencies and clients.Support routine as well as high profile, complex infrastructure projects by conducting wetland and waterway delineations, associated permitting through Maryland regulatory agencies, and other required natural resource approvalsParticipate in natural resources fieldworkPrepare written and graphic reportsWrite well, distilled supporting information in the scientific literature, communicate technical issues to a wide range of readers.Prepare basic data and scientific documentsDemonstrate personal role in supporting the marketing of company services by delivering high-quality, accurate work products to external and internal clients.
