Flatbed driver

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various destinations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, adherence to traffic laws, and the ability to handle various types of freight. The Truck Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the integrity of the cargo.

Duties

Operate and drive a truck, including tractor-trailer and flatbed configurations, to transport freight to designated locations.

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.

Load and unload cargo using forklifts or manual methods as necessary.

Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours driven, mileage, and fuel consumption.

Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.

Adhere to all local, state, and federal driving regulations while on the road.

Ensure proper handling of freight to prevent damage during transit.

Skills

Proficient in operating various types of trucks including manual trucks, flatbeds, and moffet.

Experience with manual transmission vehicles is preferred.

Strong knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safety protocols.

Ability to operate forklifts for loading and unloading cargo.

Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.

Strong attention to detail for maintaining accurate delivery records.

Good communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.

Proven experience as a delivery driver or truck driver is an advantage.
