Position OverviewResponsible for monitoring student behavior during meal service, recess, and other specified events. Assists with the cleanliness of the cafeteria, assists with recycling, and the flow of meal service. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Shared Service Team Office Manager with consultation from the Directors of School Operations. Student Support Ambassadors also monitor arrival traffic to ensure that students can get into the school quickly and the traffic flows efficiently.
Position ResponsibilitiesManages students during meal service, recess, hallway transitions, and other events specified by supervisor (behavior problems will be referred to the teacher or principal according to guidelines established by the individual school).Communicates with students and school staff in a positive and professional manner utilizing appropriate customer service and interpersonal skills. Circulates throughout the cafeteria or in other designated areas, and assisting students who need additional support.Assists with the cleanliness of the cafeteria and other areas designated by supervisor.Participates in training sessions, meetings, and scheduled cleaning days as requested.Fosters appropriate and effective relationships with students to gain mutual respect Other duties as assigned
