Director, Help Desk Support & Asset Management (Remote-Eastern or Central Time Zones) The Director Help Desk Support & Asset Management leads an IT services and technical support team. This role is tasked with keeping the existing infrastructure stable while helping to create an automated monitoring systems and administration tools.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Leads a team of technical support engineers and managers within tech services
  • Leads a help desk team of six
  • Directs information system operations
  • Establishes, plans, and administers the overall policies and goals for the IT department
  • Analyzes the needs of different departments and determines ways to meet business objectives by modifying existing or developing new information processing systems.
  • Manages the research and selection of IT equipment, applications, and supplies.
  • Leads implementation and maintenance of enterprise-wide system tools and ensures scalability. Implements and maintains operating policies to mitigate risk
  • Optimize cost and consumption of resources
  • Live by the standards set by the Verisma Core Values and ensure that business is transacted accurately and with the highest ethical standards

Minimum Qualifications:
  • B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent education and experience
  • Ability to lead a team by being opinionated but collaborative
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities
  • Ten plus years’ experience within the information technology space
  • Five plus years’ experience managing an information technology team
  • Experienced in Windows desktop and cloud management and monitoring, as well as scripting with PowerShell
  • Prior network infrastructure experience
  • Strong grasp on the fundamentals of computer operations and management with demonstrated experience with the application of those skills
  • Proven track record of getting things done
  • Impeccable organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and tackle multiple projects at a time
  • A conscientious worker who loves to solve a good puzzle
  • Self-starter and go-getter that takes pride in their work
  • Flexible attitude to transition as priorities dictate
  • A vision for building stable, reliable, and highly performing systems that create less work for everyone
  • Entrepreneurial, proactive, can work without supervision
  • Candidates with prior experience in the healthcare industry, preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to collaborate with multiple departments
