Serve as a SME for security concepts and standards, while providing "cradle-to-grave" ISSO support for mission information systems. The ISSO shall, at a minimum:
- Serve as the Government's single point of contact for all contract actions, questions, and recommendations.
- Provide ISSO services as required to effectively manage the staffing, technical capacity, capability, and appropriate plans to deliver the defined support services on schedule and within budget.
- Perform oversight and management of onboarding, terminations, deliverables, and management of resources, performance, and cost.
- Identify and resolve issues and risks that could adversely impact performance, costs and/or delivery schedule.
- Prepare status reports and briefings for management review.
- Attend mandatory meetings, including:
- SOW kick-off meeting,
- Monthly Program Management Review (PMR)
- Other ad-hoc meetings scheduled by customer senior leadership.
- Schedule and/or plan meetings.
- Some Telework allowed Min 2 day a week onsite.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems / Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, related field, or technical degree. Additional relevant experience can be substituted for a degree.
- Minimum of 10+ years of total work experience with 5+ years of technical experience working with databases, compute, storage, and networks on one or more of the following platforms: AWS, MS Azure, Google Cloud Platform, VMware or Oracle Cloud Platform.
- 10+ years of experience in the following:
- Design/implementation/consulting experience with Security, Compliance, and Risk Management
- US Government compliance and security standards, including NIST, FedRAMP, FISMA, ICD 503 and implementing security concepts / best practices
- Managing Certification and Accreditation and continuous monitoring activities utilizing common control frameworks
- Managing the security posture of cloud environments, and working with engineering teams to remediate, and communicating overall risk of environment while identifying areas of improvement
- Risk mitigation and selecting or designing appropriate security controls for implementation
- Coordinating, monitoring, and tracking security activities across multiple organizations
- Agile or DevOps methodologies for designing, developing, or delivering using appropriate automation techniques and tools
- Developing scripts/ dashboards
- CI/CD development pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform)
- Programming languages (e.g., Java, Python)
- Container/ orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker, Puppet).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills for contact with customers via calls, chats, and email
- Active CASP, GSEC, GSLC, CISSP, CEH, CISM, CISA, or comparable certification
- Active AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Certification
- Must be able to obtain agency suitability clearance prior to start date.
- Extensive understanding of Cloud Computing technologies and migration challenges
- Experience with:
- Applying cloud security concepts, requirements, design development, implementation, and integration for existing and new technology product offerings
- Engineering/architecture for systems in the cloud; specifically, AWS, Azure and/or Google
- Working with core services, networking, security groups, or policy management in relation to Cloud resources across multiple operating systems
- Migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
- Systems Administration in Linux/Unix (Ubuntu, CentOS, RedHat, Solaris, etc.)
- Networking (TCP/IP, DNS)
- Troubleshooting / Support for technical IT issues
- Advising customers on cloud architectures and designs meeting US Government accreditation standards
