Information Technology Summer Intern - Data & Analytics Team

As a Data & Analytics Intern, you will join the Sinclair Advanced Analytics team for the summer, assisting in real-life projects that the team is working to deliver. The Advanced Analytics team includes Business Intelligence and Data Science capabilities. We work closely with many parts of the business to uncover areas of opportunity where data can enable strategic advantages and new capabilities.The Data & Analytics Intern will be aligned with specific team members, giving you the opportunity to participate in projects of high importance and gain insight into how a large Fortune 500 company operates. You can expect to analyze data, ideate, and envision dashboards and reports, prepare written deliverables, and work closely with strong professionals who will challenge you to grow and open your eyes to new opportunities.Qualifications:

Pursuing an undergraduate degree in a related field

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite or Google Suite.

Functional understanding of relational databases and related concepts

Functional understanding of data warehousing, data modeling, and reporting

Skilled in SQL development (writing, troubleshooting)

Excellent problem-solving skills, logical process thinking, and end-to-end system concepts.

Experience in writing formal documents in Word, summarizing data findings in Excel, and creating and delivering presentations using PowerPoint.

Strong initiative to learn and apply new information and technologies.

Strong team player and detail-oriented

Interested in developing media domain knowledge.

Data Scientist skills optional (if you have them, we will use them!)
