We are looking for a IT Project Manager to add to our team. Job Overview: QUALIFICATIONS 1. Minimum qualifications: a. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology (IT) or an IT related field (e.g., Computer Science), as determined by the AOC, or ten (10) years of experience managing IT projects (i.e., leading a project, not serving as a team member under a project manager) in lieu of degree. b. Five (5) years of experience managing IT projects with budgets of $500,000.00 - $1,000.000.00 or more, and c. Active Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification. 2. Preferred qualifications: a. Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundations Certificate. 3. Preferred experience working with the Courts and/or State Governments. C. SCOPE OF WORK a. Managing two (2) Judicial Information Systems (JIS) IT Projects, including but not limited to: (1) Maintaining expert level knowledge and skills relative to the JIS Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and the Project Management Office (PMO) templates, (2) Creating and maintaining the Project Plan (PP), (3) Monitoring the ongoing project activities against the project management plan and any project performance baselines, (4) Monitoring and controlling project scope, cost, and schedule, (5) Tracking all project performance against any performance metrics, (6) Working in partnership with the project team, JIS infrastructure team, and project vendors to manage the release of new software, (7) Viewing stakeholders/business owners' functional duties holistically to understand impact of dependent/inter-related business functions, (8) Chairing project and status meetings, (9) Managing project related issues including but not limited to: i Determining the source of issues, including but not limited to 1. System requirements, 2. Data, 3. Performance, 4. Workflow, 5. Business process, 6. Quality of the software, or 7. Training. ii Determining the impact of an issue high, medium, or low and 1. Creating strategies for issue resolution. iii Assessing where the issue should be assigned e.g., JIS, vendor, District Court Headquarters, Circuit Court, court IT, or back to the originator for clarification. iv Consistently reviewing all updates to issues and ensure that there is complete and thorough documentation and appropriate assignment. v Control change and recommend corrective or preventive actions. (10) Maintaining and updating risk register, including but not limited to: i Determining the probability and impact of all risks, and ii Developing risk contingency, mitigation, or avoidance options. (11) Ensuring each software release or patch contains: i Vendor test results, ii JIS required configurations, and iii Release notes, (12) Creating and reviewing integrated change control requests. b. Creating and maintaining the following project artifacts as needed: (1) Charter (Scope Statement), (2) Stakeholder and Vendor Management, (3) Project Schedule, (4) Requirements Traceability Matrix, (5) Data Conversion/Migration, (6) Risk Register / Issues Log, (7) Deployment Plan, (8) Test Plan, (9) Acceptance Plan, (10) Status Reports, and (11) Meeting Minutes. c. Preparing regular and ad hoc reports, including: (1) Weekly project report of progress and status, (2) Weekly time report, and (3) Additional reports as requested. D. SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, & CAPABILITIES 1. The following are the preferred skills, experience, and capabilities: a. Excellent oral communication. b. Detailed oriented. c. Business process analysis skills. d. Data review and data migration skills. e. Knowledge of the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK). f. Knowledge and ability to utilize standards and guidelines relative to JIS Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC). g. Highly organized with the ability to keep track of: (1) Multiple projects; (2) Requirements;Action items; and, (3) Follow through to task closure. h. Ability to: (1) Work in a matrixed organization to align resources toward project deliverables, (2) Work on multiple projects and objectives, (3) Translate technical concepts into business terms, (4) Establish and maintain effective working relationships with i Peers; ii End users and vendor development staff; iii All levels of management; and, iv Judicial personnel, as necessary. 4 Reasons to Join Volitiion IIT, Inc.: 1.
