Application Developer Candidate must be a Maryland resident and must meet all of the requirements below. Work is 100% remote The Application Developer, Advanced Technology shall translate applications requirements into web-based solutions using available technology. This individual shall apply new and emerging technologies to the software development process. • Education: This position requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in computer science, information systems, engineering, business, or a related scientific or technical discipline; or three (3) years of equivalent experience in a related field. • General Experience: The proposed candidate must have at least three (3) years of computer experience in at least two of the following disciplines: systems analysis, systems programming, application programming, and/or Graphical Information Systems (GIS) Solutions. Specialized Experience: The proposed candidate must have at least two (2) year of experience developing applications using advanced technologies such as Internet protocols or web-based technology. Technologies include .NET, HTML, HTML5, and JavaScript. • Must be familiar with at least one mapping application technologies: OpenLayers, Leaflet, or Esri. • Full stack development experience with some of the following technologies: Microsoft .NET, JavaScript, Web APIs, REST, Web Services, HTML, CSS, and Python. • Experience in SQL Server (2019 or 2016). • Working in agile development environment. • Experience with any of the following tools is a plus: Jira, Confluence, or JCR. • Ability to troubleshoot a wide variety of technical issues. • Clear, concise communication & documentation skills with experience documenting system architecture and use cases. Understanding of application architecture best-practices. • Outstanding written/verbal communication skills. • Excellent collaboration skills with other team members. • Ability to work as a team member in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. • Familiarity with source control practices and software such as GitLab. • Must have the analytical and interpersonal skills to elicit and document business, functional, and technical requirements.
