- Collect, handle, and store human biological specimens in accordance with established procedures
- Help oversee and manage the transportation of samples
- Conduct basic laboratory tests such as pregnancy tests, urinalysis, and drug screenings
- Thoroughly understands study protocols and laboratory manuals
- Use a variety of laboratory equipment for processing specimens
- Get laboratory equipment and facilities ready as well as organize and create schedules for research projects
- A Bachelor's degree in a life science field, OR an Associate's degree with some prior laboratory experience
- Prior experience working in a research laboratory, either as an undergraduate student or as a laboratory technician
