Description of Work:

  • Seeking a Lead Test Engineer/Architect with significant experience testing and debugging operational enterprise software. You will be working closely with the development and architecture leads to understand and validate the expected functionality of the software as well as potential error conditions and vulnerabilities.
  • You will be responsible for defining the automated test plans for each service as well as the scope of tests for a test team.
  • You will lead the testing of new software releases to validate both bug fixes and new features and will write and ensure automated tests are run for Spring Boot microservices.

RequirementsBasic Qualifications:

Minimum knowledge, skills, abilities needed.
  • Bachelor's degree and 7 Years of work experience OR Master's degree and 5 Years of work experience OR a minimum 11 years of work experience in lieu of a degree
  • 4 or more years of experience testing/debugging REST APIs. Preferred experience with APIs implemented using Java and Spring Boot
  • 4 or more years of experience designing and developing automated unit, integration and behavioral tests via TDD and BDD
  • 2 or more years of experience leveraging testing libraries and frameworks such as JUnit, Spring Test, Mockito, Cucumber, Selenium or any other equivalent
  • 2 or more years of experience with integrating automated tests into a DevOps pipeline using Jenkins and Maven as part of the SDLC
  • Experience developing and implementing automated tests profiles that execute across multiple environments using the Spring framework
  • Experience analyzing logs using tools like Splunk, Nagios or any other equivalent
  • Strong understanding of how to isolate a SUT using mocks, stubs and shims for applications that leverage IoC
  • Experience using the JIRA and Confluence to manage requirements, user stories, defects/bugs and testing artifacts
  • Basic knowledge of SSL/TLS, x.509 certificates and related web standards
  • Superior communication skills, both written and oral
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related technical discipline
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Public Trust clearance
Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates with these skills will be given preferential consideration.
  • Experience with automating complex data scenarios to establish context for test execution
  • Experience with load testing
  • Experience with automated UI testing through tools like Selenium and Serenity
  • Strong ability to absorb and apply new technical knowledge rapidly as it relates to JWT, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SSL Extended Validation certificates, and other standards
  • Ability to advocate for comprehensive testing strategies and staying up to date on the latest testing methods and tools
  • Basic knowledge of containerized applications
  • Basic knowledge of code scanning tools such as SonarQube (static code analysis) and Sonatype Nexus (vulnerability scanning)
