Position Description:
- Perform analysis and provide recommendations for optimizing Mainframe batch processing.
- Provide Enterprise Architecture and/or enterprise-level projects guidance and recommendations
- Optimize VSAM files to enhance application performance, understand batch and online scheduling dependencies, and possess a strong background in CICS architecture and use
- 10 years of experience or more as a Mainframe Systems Engineer
- 7 years of experience with CICS, including PPT, PCT, FCT, AOR, FOR, PLTU, CEDF, CEMT, VSAM, IDCAMS, SMS, FileAid
- 7 years of experience with ISPF/PDF, including 3.x options, JES, Control-M, COBOL, Copybooks, JCL, CLIST/REXX, InterTest, and Endevor
- 5 years of experience with VSAM dynamic REORG, and VSAM EXCP Optimization
- 5 years of experience creating test plan and recording results, other documents, and web pages
- Strong communication skills and the ability to facilitate working groups.
- Understanding of Mainframe Infrastructure and processes
- Desired Skills:
- Prior Federal government experience

- Strong attention to detail with an ability to operate effectively across multiple priorities
- Knowledge of the following facilities or products is highly desired:
- Dynamic File REORG products, especially BMC IAM, CFA
- SAS 9.X, SMF types 62, 30-4, 30-5, 64, 110
- VSAM Optimization products
- WebSphere, Java, Restful/SOAP API, CICS interface, webMethods
- Data Modeling, including SQL, FTP, ETL, SQL Server/SSIS, MS Access
- Top Secret, RACF, or ACF2 user access/profiles
- Experience with facilitating set-up of test environments
- Experience with System Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including Agile and Waterfall
- Background in Enterprise Architecture and/or enterprise-level projects
